Frequently Asked Questions

How do I access the library's eBooks?

The library provides eBooks through two different vendor websites: The Follet Shelf and The Tumblebook Library.

The Tumblebook library does not require a login when accessed through the school website--just click the link and start reading!

FollettShelf does require a username and login.  You may log in using your Accelerated Reader username and password.  If you cannot remember your username and password, you may log in with the guest login: Username: wrjh Password: student

**  The guest log in does not allow books to be checked out. **

How many books may I have checked out?

Students are usually allowed to have two books checked out at a time, unless there are special circumstances.  If you are working on a project and feel like you need more books, see Mrs. Eddings or Mrs. Harmon.

How long may I keep my books?

When a book is first checked out, the loan period is two weeks.  If you have not finished your book in two weeks, please bring it to the library for renewal.  If needed, books may be renewed up to two times, for a total check out time of six weeks.  Keep in mind, someone may be waiting for the book you have so be sure to check it in as soon as you are finished with it.

How do I become a library assistant?

Each year during enrollment, students are given the opportunity to apply for the position of library assistant.  To qualify for the position, students must be in 7th or 8th grade, and are required to have good attendance, grades, and discipline records.  Assistants are chosen on the basis of experience and teacher recommendation.  Unfortunately, we do not currently have any positions open.  If you are interested in becoming an assistant next year, be sure to ask for the application packet during the spring enrollment period.
